COSMETIC DENTISTRY

Here at Bright-On Bay Dental, we can help to change the way your teeth look. If you are embarrassed to smile because your teeth are worn, crooked or yellow, we can help. There are so many options these days to improve your smile. Call us to book a comprehensive check-up appointment so that we can walk you through the options.

Teeth whitening

As we get older, the colour of our teeth darkens.
Tooth whitening is simple, effective and now very affordable.
We provide both the in-chair/office and take-home whitening.

  • In-Chair whitening

This is the option for you if you do not want to do it yourself. Dr Lau will place a whitening gel on your teeth over 2-3 applications.

  • Take-home whitening

This is the option for you if you have sensitive teeth and want a more economical option. It also gives you the ability to refresh your smile frequently to maintain that bright smile!

Speak to one of our staff to find out which option is more suitable for you.

White fillings/veneers, crowns and bridges

If your teeth are looking chipped, worn and discoloured, you don’t have to put up with it any longer. Patients often wish they did something earlier, but often delayed treatment because of the cost.
We have a range of options from whitening and simple white fillings to using a combination of veneers, implants, crowns, bridges, dentures and/or orthodontic treatment to help achieve the final result you are looking for. Come in for a comprehensive checkup so we can discuss what is most suitable for you!
Here are some smiles that Dr Janice did for her patients here at Bright-On Bay Dental. All of these have been done simply with white fillings at the fraction of the price of porcelain veneers.

Frequently Asked Questions

What about whitening toothpastes or products that can be bought online/chemist?
Whitening toothpaste and products that can be bought at the supermarket or chemist are either abrasive (to remove external stains) or contain very low concentrations of the active whitening ingredient such that it is not effective. If you are buying whitening gels and doing your own trays at home, you need to be aware that these gels can cause damage to your gums if applied without professional guidance and help.
What is the difference between porcelain and composite veneers?

Composite veneers can be placed directly on the tooth and often require less cutting of the tooth. They are also a fraction of the price of porcelain veneers.
Porcelain veneers tend to have less stain build up and a superior finish to them.
